     Depression is a mood ailment that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.   It is more than just feeling sad or going through a rough patch.  If left untreated, depression can be devastating.  

     Depression can affect how you feel, think, and behave. It can cause a variety of emotional and physical problems. Depression can lead to trouble with activities of daily living such as nutrition, hygiene, and sleep. Do not get discouraged.   The majority of people with depression improve with psychotherapy, medications, or both. Some types of depression include but are not limited to Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Dysthymia, and Adjustment Disorder.
